Cycle routes along the waterway of the Brenta. Hence, this day excursion is to visit some of the Venetian villas. As well as some picturesque little towns. As a result, this is a bucolic strip of land where the Venetian nobles had their summer residences. Thanks to the flat area, we find different bicycle paths. And most of all, due to the thousands of canals that we can find.
The day excursion
You will meet our driver and the assistant at the car terminal of Venice. First of all, you will start your visit with Villa Foscari La Malcontenta, a masterpiece by Andrea Palladio. From here you will start your bike ride along the Brenta waterway, taking roads with low traffic and you will discover many Venetian villas built in different periods (from the XVIth to the XVIIIth century). You will have time to visit Villa Widmann and Villa Pisani. The service is calculated starting and ending in Venice. It includes the van transfer service from Venice to Villa Foscari La Malcontenta and the way back from Villa Pisani to Venice. The assistant will stay with you until the Villa Pisani.
Villa Foscari “La Malcontenta”
This is a villa that Palladio executed for the brothers Nicolò and Alvise Foscari. And it seems about the end of the 1550s. As we can see this Palladian villa rises in an isolated block with no agriculture annexes. Anyhow, the location of this masterpiece is close to the edge of the lagoon, on the banks of the river Brenta. More than a “villa-farm”, it presents itself as a villa suburbana, rapidly reached by boat from the centre of Venice.

Villa Widmann (Villa Sceriman Foscari Widmann – Rezzonico)

Hence the complex consists of 3 main buildings. besides the Villa Widmann, we find the Barchessa and the chapel. But one of the most important section of this villa is the huge park. In fact, it extends to the north with the greenhouse construction, embellished with some 18th century statues.
